Wie bereits erwähnt, hat mich mein Tauchbuddy Dennis mit nach Wadi Musa/Petra genommen. Los ging es morgens um 7 Uhr. Auf dem Weg haben wir einen kurzen Abstecher nach Wadi Rum gemacht, sind aber nicht weiter in die Wüste hinein gefahren, sondern haben nur eine paar Bilder vom Eingang zum Wadi Rum gemacht. Da die Sonne um diese Zeit nicht gut stand, sind die Bilder leider nicht so spannend.
Also weiter nach Wadi Musa, wo mich Dennis am Hotel abgesetzt hat. Nach dem Einchecken bin ich dann gleich zum Besucherzentrum nach Petra, das nur Unweit meines Hotels liegt.
Am ersten Tag habe ich mir die Hauptroute vom Eingang vorbei an der „Treasury“, der „Street of Facades“, dem „Theatre“ und dem „Great Temple“ bis zum entferntesten Punkt dem Ad-Dayr (auch als „The Monastery“ bekannt) vorgenommen. Wie ihr am Foto der „Monastery“ erkennen könnt, hat das auch geklappt. War ganz schön anstrengend, aber auf jeden Fall sehenswert.
So gegen 16:30 Uhr war ich dann auch wieder raus aus Petra und bin zum Hotel duschen und dann noch zum Abendessen. Genug für einen Tag!

As already mentioned, my dive buddy Dennis took me to Wadi Musa/Petra. It started at seven in the morning. On the way we made a short detour to Wadi Rum, but did not go further into the desert, we only took a few pictures from the entrance to Wadi Rum. Since the sun at this time of the day was not good, the pictures are unfortunately not so exciting.
So on to Wadi Musa, where Dennis dropped me off at my hotel. After the check-in, I immediately went to the visitor center off Petra, which was close to my hotel.
On the first day I took the main route from the entrance past the „Treasury“, the „Street of Facades“, the „Theater“ and the „Great Temple“ to the remotest point of Petra the Ad-Dayr (also known as „The Monastery“ ). As you can see in the photo of the „Monastery“, that worked well. Was quite exhausting, but definitely worth seeing.
At around 4:30 pm I was then again out of Petra and headed to the hotel for a shower and then for dinner. Enough for a day!
